Looking after your loved one

We will ensure that your loved one is treated with the utmost dignity and respect while in our care.

Chapels of Rest

Should you wish to do so, you will be able to visit them, by appointment, in one of our chapels of rest.

Whether to embalm

The process of embalming involves the use of specialist techniques by the Funeral Director in a hygienic environment to slow the processes that occur after death and remove the harsh effects of illness or accident. This restores a natural appearance to your loved one.

To assist in making the decision as to whether to embalm, we’d like to share the thoughts of some families who have done so:

‘We did not want to remember him the way his illness made him look – now he looks at peace.’

‘I wasn’t ready to say goodbye yet, it was too soon, I need to see him and say I love him one last time.’

We can help

Please let us know if you'd like more information about embalming. We can talk you through the main points and help you to reach the decision that's right for you and your family.
